Moving the pax seat down as far as it could go and leaning in head first was definitely the best way (although I put a little too much weight on the glove box cover and it popped out a few times). I have to agree that the main challenge was accessing the fuse to change it - you definitely have to be a contortionist in order to do it. I'm not sure what the instigator was in the first place to make the fuse blow but reading here, it seems to be a known problem with that model of BMW.? I followed the advice, upsized to a 20amp and the problem was solved. When I pulled the #57 15amp fuse, it was blown. I found this thread and read it through, and with a little bit of further internet surfing, found a fuse diagram that was for my model (there was no diagram on the back panel of the fuse cover panel) just to verify that what I was about to do was right. The door lock button on the dashboard wasn't working either. I had to use the key in the remote to unlock the drivers door. Yesterday I experienced the same thing - all of a sudden my remote would not unlock the doors to my 2006 330xi. I just wanted to thank everyone who posted comments relating to this topic.
